About Laura C. Joyce, LICSW, Esq.

Laura is an attorney and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the Boston area whose career has been dedicated to protecting children, supporting families, and elevating trauma-informed approaches within the legal and child welfare system. Her work spans multiple intersecting fields—family law, juvenile court advocacy, educational advocacy, child welfare, psychotherapy, adoption, and higher education—allowing her to approach every case from both a legal and clinical lens.

She earned her J.D. from Boston College Law School and holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Boston College, all with a focus on children, youth, and families. Laura’s professional path includes roles in emergency psychiatry at Boston Children’s Hospital, adoption work through the RFK Bright Futures Adoption Center, residential treatment for high-needs youth, Guardian ad Litem investigations, and private clinical practice.

Laura currently teaches Psychology Courses including Child and Adolescent Development at Lasell University in Newton, sharing her expertise with the next generation of mental health and social science professionals.
